The idea of the new sports institute “Swarnim Gujarat Sports University” was conceived by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. L.J. Purani & Associates played a vital role in bringing this concept to a reality. The university is located near Vadodara, Gujarat. This is the first sports university of India. The new university is currently under construction. The phase 1 of the project is administration building, hostel blocks, multipurpose indoor hall and swimming pool and athletic ground. It will be completed in the year 2020. Phase 2 includes staff quarters, site development and sports grounds.
